Persis Khambatta was born on 2 October 1948. She is an actress and model from India. She began her career as a model and went on to win Femina Miss India contest 1965. She also participated in Miss Universe contest. Se did popular commercials for Rexona, Revlon, Air India, etc. She debuted in film with Bambai Raat Ki Bahon Mein(1968), She went on to star in Nighthawks(1981),Warrior of the Lost World(1983), andShe-Wolves of the Wasteland(1988). She is fondly remembered for her role as Lieutenant Ilia,the baldDeltannavigatorinStar Trek: The Motion Picture(1979. She died of a massive heart attack on 18th August 1998.
